Do I need to replace my current till or card machine?
No. Tablebird handles reservations and your waitlist — it sits alongside whatever till and card reader you already use. Nothing about your payments changes.
What happens to bookings if the internet drops mid-service?
Your floor plan keeps working from the device's cached copy, so you can still seat guests and take walk-ins. Everything syncs back up the moment the connection returns.
Can guests cancel or change a booking themselves?
Yes. Every confirmation includes a link to change the time or cancel, which frees the table automatically and saves your team a phone call. You set how late changes are allowed.
Is there a setup fee or a long contract?
Neither. You pay month to month, set up yourself for free, and leave whenever you like. We'd rather earn the renewal than lock you in.
Where is our guest data stored?
On servers in the EU, and it's never sold or shared. You can export your full booking history as a spreadsheet at any time, and we delete it on request when you close your account.
